Rolf Reynolds
Light Warp Wall Sconce

This piece is meant to be used in various ways - on a wall, on a ceiling, or flat on a table. When used with the dimmer, it can operate as a night light or when paired up with another, can be used on either side of a vanity mirror. Spirals keep showing up in Reynold's work - here he is trying to find a practical application.

Salvaged float glass slumped into high temperature concrete form then sandblasted and fitted into a base of Purple Heart Wood.
12.75 x 9.75 x 5" - 2004

Rolf Reynolds
Candle Light Warp

Working with spirals, practicality and fancy. This design came up from free associating with a pencil and the idea of placing a flame in the middle of the spiral.

Salvaged float glass slumped into high temperature concrete form set in sculpted mahogany base with tealight. 12 x 7 x 7" - 2004
