| For nearly two decades, Simon Fraser University has hosted a biennial exhibition of some of the best work from B.C. artists working with glass. Whether the glass is blown, stained, cast, carved, fused, or flame-worked, there is no limit to the creativity and inventiveness these artists apply to their chosen medium. Many are drawn to work in glass by its unequalled ability to hold, reflect, transmit, and capture light. This juried group show, first held in 1990, is the only exhibition in Western Canada that regularly directs academic attention to the diversity and artistic depth of glass art. |
